Staples is offering 200$ Visa Gift cards fee-free from January 12, 2020 to January 18, 2020. Staples had offered similar gift cards by either Master card or Visa in the past also.
How to USE:
I had personally used this offer to meet the minimum spend requirements for new credit cards.
I got approved for wells Fargo propel Amex credit card last month, which was offering 30,000 bonus points after 3000$ spend in the first 3 months. Currently this credit card is offering 20,000 go far rewards points only. But, minimum spend is 1000$ in the first 3 months.
So definitely I has gone ahead and purchased the 200$ visa gift card, that would be counted towards the minimum spend requirements of my Wells Fargo propel credit card.
Remember that this is in store offer only, so you would have to go to the STAPLES store to purchase this gift card. The usual 7$ fee is waived for these gift cards until January 18th 2020.
These Debit cards are pin enabled and have expiry of 2027 and beyond. So, you know you don’t need to rush to use them. Usually the last 4 digits of the debit card number happens to be the default PIN number for these gift cards. But, you should know that you could use them in United States only.
These cards are limited to one gift card per customer per day. So, you could go in everyday in between these promotional dates and get one gift card.
Be careful about the purchases you make, as the banks could be watching your purchase activity on the credit cards and could withhold your points, if they see you are abusing the system. But, generally if you are diligent enough not to over-do it, you should be good.
