Basics:
- Annual Fee for the Card: 79$(waived the first year)
- Current Offer: 50,000 Bonus Points + 100$ companion flight voucher after 1000$ Spend in first 90 days after account opening.
- Earn 3 points per $1 spent on eligible Spirit purchases.
- 2 points per $1 spent on eligible dining and grocery store purchases.
- 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases.
- No Foreign Transaction Fee
Who Can Apply?
Anyone with good/Excellent credit can apply for this Credit Card from Spirit Airlines. This card is issued by Bank of America.
Additional Benefits:
- Zone 2 shortcut boarding on all flights
- 25% rebate on all inflight food and beverage purchases when paid with the Card.
- Avoid paying the Booking Fee, which is 50$, when paying for the taxes and fee component on flights booked with points. If the travel date is less than 25 days from the date of purchase of the ticket, the airline charges a booking fee. This can be avoided if you pay for taxes and fee with Free Spirit Credit Card.
How I USE Free Spirit Miles Credit Card:
Personally, this is not a credit card I would use for everyday purchases.
In my case this Card is serving a very specific purpose of taking me to Central American counties. But, I did use the miles for some placement flights. Short Haul flights just cost 2,500 miles. So, the bonus points could be used for 20 short haul flights. I traveled from LAS (Las Vegas) to SJC (Sanjose) for 2,500 free spirit miles+ 5.60 taxes and fee.
How I Use Free Spirit Miles Credit Card:
I got this Credit Card 6 months ago. The big reason for signing up for this Card was, I had Central American Countries on my travel wish list. Spirit Airlines has direct flights into Nicaragua 🇳🇮 , El Salvador 🇸🇻 , Haiti 🇭🇹 and Honduras 🇭🇳. As of this writing I have completed traveling to 2 counties and I plan to use my sign-up bonus points to travel to the remaining 2 counties on my travel list.

Usually, there are better sign-up bonus offers on inflight promotions. So, if you or any of your friends or family are taking a Spirit Airlines flight, ask them to get the inflight offer application. This will give you 55,000 bonus miles after the minimum spend is met.
