I had just visited Cartagena, Columbia and had a chance to visit the SALA VIP Lounge, at Cartagena Rafael Nunez Airport, which is located in the international terminal. This Lounge is located past the immigration and security check points in the departures area. This lounge could be accessed by only international departing passengers.
You would get to visit the Avianca SALA VIP Lounge, if you are passing through the domestic terminal. Both the lounges are accessible with Priority Pass.
The check in is very easy, where you would show the digital pass on your Smart Phone and get in. If you happen to be in the lounge for more than 3 hrs, then you would have to go back to the front desk to check in again, as you could stay for maximum of 3 hrs with each swipe of Priority Pass.
This Lounge is a very basic lounge, but very modern and elegant in looks. As you enter the Lounge you would see some seating on the right hand side. There are 2 massage chairs in the extreme right hand corner.
The pricing for Massages is published in the flyers, if you are interested in getting some massage done here.
On the Left hand side you would find the snacks and dining’s area. As you get in , you would find more seating and see more power ports for charging your devices.
The best part of visiting this lounge today was, that I could taste 2 of the tropical fruit in the lounge. The first one is Granadilla.
The second one of the Columbian fruits, I tried in the lounge is called Pitaya. Both the fruits were delicious.
The Granadella is also called the passion fruit and Pitaya felt like water melon to me, very juicy and rich with black seeds scattered in the pulp. The other name for Pitaya is Dragon fruit and could also be found in pink color.
Conclusion
I think this Lounge is very compact and has all the basic amenities, like having charge ports for charging all the devices, some snacks and drinks, comfortable seating and good WIFI speed to get some work done if necessary. I was able to complete this blog post sitting here.
