Who Can Apply for the Card?

I can say anyone with excellent credit score can apply and get approved for this credit card. But one should be aware that Chase has this 5/24 rule, where anyone who has taken 5 credit cards form any Bank within past 24 months, will automatically be denied for Chase credit cards. Also, Chase came up with new rule that, at a time each customer can only have only One Card from the Sapphire family of Cards. This rule applies to any new customers trying to apply for Chase Sapphire RESERVE or Chase Sapphire PREFFERED cards.

How I earn Points on this Card:

I signed up for Chase Sapphire Credit Card almost 8 years ago in 2015. A year later when Chase Sapphire Reserve card was introduced in 2016, I applied for Reserve Credit card and got approved. Later I closed my Chase Sapphire Credit Card. After introduction of the Capital One Venture X Credit Card, I downgraded my Reserve Credit card to PREFFERED. I use the Priority Pass benefits from Venture X Capital One Credit Card. Now I own just the Chase Preferred Credit Card.

How I Spend the Points I earn from this Card:

Generally, I spend the points I acquired from the bonuses and various purchases mostly through Ultimate Rewards Portal, to book Activities at various places I travel to around the world. I used the points for Safari Experience to Masai Mara in Kenya. Enjoyed booking my visit Iguacu Falls on Argentina Side using Chase Points. I used them to book the tour of Antelope Canyon in Arizona. Other than for Experiences, I travel by United Airlines frequently. As Chase points transfer to United at 1:1 ratio, I top up for the miles when needed for my flights.
