U.S. Citizens to get Visa Waiver to Travel to Brazil

Brazil is going to start allowing the citizens of U.S., Canada, Australia and Japan to visit Brazil, visa-free. This annoncement was done this week by the Brazilian government.

Currently U.S. citizens pay 40$ e-visa fee and 4.24$ online service fee for a visitor e-visa, which is valid for 90 days. This was implemented last year in January 2018. Earlier to that the visa fee stood at 160$.

This new rule will be effective June17, 2019. Brazil had been on my bucket list for a while. Now, it’s going to be much more easier to travel to,with the visa waiver. The Brazilian government is expecting to give a boost to the Tourism industry in the country with this measure.

Visa waiver is not reciprocatory, Brazilian’s would still have to pay 160$ visa fee, to visit U.S.

I have my eyes set on the next great deal that is going to pop up to visit “Christ the Redeemer”. Hope you are as excited hearing this news as I am.
