Planning for Croatia:
Capital of Croatia is Zagreb and its currency is Euro. Plitvice Lakes National Park, Dubrovnik and Split are places usually tourists visit when they plan vacation in Croatia. I Visited Croatia in September 2023.
As everyone knows the coastline of Croatia is beautiful, I definitely wanted to visit the coastline of Croatia. I got an opportunity to do so in August 2026. Ryan Airlines flies inexpensive summer flights from Milan to Zadar. I visited Zadar and took a Daytrip to Plitvice Lakes National Park from Zadar
Reaching Croatia:
From Mostar I left for Milan on a Flix Bus paying 95$ with a stopover in Zagreb, Croatia. I had around 6 hrs. to go around Zagreb before I could catch my Milan Bus. In the time I had, I went to see some important touristic places of interest in Zagreb.
Boots on the Ground:
I walked from the Bus station to most of the touristic spots in Zagreb. The Bus station has a luggage holding area as I could leave my bags here and go walking on a city tour. The Luggage holding area in Zagreb charged 0.80 Euro per Hour. Max charge was 5 € for 1 bag per day.

I could not accommodate to visit Croatian National Theatre and Mimara Museum in the time I had in the city. But these could be added to your itinerary if time permits.
ROUND 2:
Visiting Zadar and Plitvice Lakes National Park
Zadar is a small Fortified costal town in Croatia. It’s easy to get to the City Center which has fortified walls all around the city center. I took airport bus from the Airport for 5 Euros to get to city center. It took 30 minutes on the bus. Uber works here and they charge around 20$ to go to the city center. Like many cities in eastern Europe, there are free walking tours available in Zadar and I did join the tour to learn about the history of this city.
Sea Organ:
Famous Beach front attraction in Zadar. The Sea Organ is an architectural sound-art installation in Zadar, Croatia, as well as an experimental musical instrument that creates music through the movement of sea waves passing through tubes beneath a series of large marble steps.
