Planning for Naples Italy:
Naples is in Napolean region of Italy. It is located 140 miles south of Capital of Italy, Rome. I visited Naples, Italy in July 2023.
Arriving in Naples Italy:
The train ticket to go from Rome to Naples costs 13.10 euro for a 2.5-hour regional train ride. Alternately the fast train costs 52 euro and reaches Naples in 1 hour.
Accommodation in Naples:
I booked Youthhome B&B on Hostelworld.com for my stay in Naples. Basic 7 bed female Dorm cost me 32$ per night. This was one of the worst accommodations I had stayed at. From my experience, I would say to anyone to check the details of accommodation at any place your book. As the front desk of this accommodation closes at 8:00pm, there is a surcharge of 15 Euro for late check in. I had to pay the 15$ surcharge as I reached this place only at 9:00pm. Other noteworthy thing is the owner of this place expected me pay in cash for the unpaid amount at check-in. Instead, I was wanting to use my Capital One Venture X Credit Card. Click Here to Apply for this card. But, at the end they accepted by credit card with surcharge.

Boots on the Ground:
Day 1:
The first thing I did after getting off the train and checking into my hostel was to head to the most famous PIZZA place in Naples called L’Antica Pizzarea da Michele. I reached there around 10:00 PM. Though the pizzeria was open till 11:00pm, they stop taking the orders for Pizzas at 10:00pm. There serve only Marianna and Margarita Pizza for 5.50 Euro. So, I went there the next day.
Day 2:
From Naples I went to see the city of Pompeii in train. The train station in Naples is one level below the Main train station. Train ride from Naples to Pompeii costs 3€. The train actually starts in Naples and leaves to Sorrento, passing by Pompeii.
Pompeii Archeological Park is the main attraction in Pompeii that is a must see for anyone visiting the region. The park Entrance ticket costs 19 €. A guide also could be hired at the park entrance.
The Archeological Park is quite huge, and it takes more than 4hrs to go around the park seeing the Archeological remains of city of Pompeii before Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD.
From Pompei, I went to see Herculaneum starting at Pompei Train Station Santuario, which is called Circumvesuvian train station in Pompeii.
The train leaves to Ercolano Scavi station in Ercolano. From there either one could hire a taxi or walk to the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum in 15 minutes, as I did. Herculaneum is the second city that was buried by Mt.Vesuvius volcanic eruption.
After seeing Herculaneum, I went back to Naples, by taking a train from Ercolano Scavi station.
After vacating the Hostel, I went to the famous L’Antica Pizzarea da Michele Pizza again and got both Marianna and Margarita Pizzas this day. Usually, the wait time is long for ordering the Pizza. It took more than 2hrs to get my Pizza from the time I lined up for my Pizza.
Day Trips from Naples:
There are a lot of day trips that could be taken from the city of Naples. This could be done by either renting a car or by hiring a Ferry boat or by going on an organized tour. There are few of the ideas below.

- Teatro di San Carlo
From Naples I left for Florence on a Flix bus for 18.90 €.
